He also holds an Adjunct Professor status at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Carleton University in Canada. Dr. Feszty has research expertise in vibroacoustics and CFD, with applications to road and air vehicles. His expertise involves structure-borne noise for cars, helicopter aerodynamics, vibration and noise control, as well as high-speed unsteady flows. He has published more than 70 scientific papers in these fields and has graduated over 40 MSc and PhD thesis students in the above fields since 2003. He is the leader of the MTA-SZE Lendület Vehicle Acoustics Research Group at Széchenyi University in Győr, Hungary, which is jointly supported by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and Audi Hungaria. Prior to this, Dr. Feszty was co-founder and first Director of one of the largest academic aerospace Research Centers in Canada – Carleton Aerospace, - which involves more than 30 professors conducting research in aerospace engineering at Carleton University. He also co-founded the Rotorcraft Research Group at Carleton University, as well as Canada’s first Student Chapter of the American Helicopter Society (AHS), which he served as Faculty Advisor between 2012 - 2017. He has mentored several award winning students, including the Runner-Up prize in the American Helicopter Society’s Lichten competition for that year’s best new scientific paper. Since 2017, Dr. Feszty serves as Head of the Department of Whole Vehicle Engineering at the Audi Hungaria Faculty of Automotive Engineering at Széchenyi University in Győr, Hungary. Dr. Feszty is an accomplished educator, who has won a Best Paper award in the Engineering Design Education section of the 2017 AIAA Aviation Forum in Denver, Colorado.
