PhD Program:
The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program aims to train highly qualified personnel capable of creating original scientific knowledge. The PhD program at the Széchenyi University is 4 years long with a requirement to complete 8 graduate courses and a PhD Thesis.
Faculty members of the Audi Department of Whole Vehicle Engineering are currently able to supervise or co-supervise students who pursue a PhD program in Vehicle Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Internal Combustion Engines.
The subject currently taught by the department in the Technical and Multidisciplinary Doctoral School :
- Thermo- and Fluid Dynamics of Vehicles
The aim of the course is to enable students to become informed developers of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) methods that allow the flow analysis of compressible gases in road vehicles using the latest numerical methods. The course is project-oriented, meaning students are expected to write their own programs. Example algorithms will be provided to students.
